The four days tour started early in the morning. Reveille was at 6am,, after a short breakfest we picked up the nicest tour group ever =) The group consisted four people plus the tour guide. My roommate Ryan or Richard =) from Australia, a couple from Florida (McKenna and Sean), and me.
A short describtion of the tour:
First day: With the tourbus =) to Abra Malaga. With the bike downhill to Santa Maria. Lunch and a short break in the accommodation in Santa Maria. In the afternoon my first rafting tour (degree of difficulty: three!!!). Back to the accommodation, dinner, funny conversations, played some games (rotate bottles) and drank a lot of beers =)
Secound day: It was the walking day, about seven, eight hours of walking on the Inka Trail. During the walk some explanations about food, drinks, culture and life and I made my first coffee by myself =) Late afternoon to the hot springs at Santa Teresa. Here we met a group from the netherlands. At night we had a good dinner and made party again because it was the last day of the year – New Years Party =)
Third day: After a really short night we did the longest and highest zip line in the world. In the afternoon we walked to the botom city of Machu Picchu.
The fourth day: We met us at six and walked up to Machu Picchu. We spent the whole day in Machu Picchu. At the afternoon it was time to say goodby to my group. The train back to Cusco drove off at midnight =( Back to my hostel in Cusco at about three in the morning.
I have to say thank you to the wonderfull group I had. We understood us at the first moment. I had a lot of fun with you and all in english =) I will never forget the silvester party =) I am sure that we will met us soon!
McKenna and Sean, I will visit you in Florida, if you want =) annnnddddd Ryan, i am sure that we will met us in Austria or Australia – is almost the same =)
I am thinking that I don’t have to say a lot about Machu Picchu. It would take to much time and you can find all the information at the internet. Wikipedia is your best friend =)
But it was really really intresting and awesome to hear the facts from locals. I will tell you all the storys when I come back, for a beer, of course =)
No more words, enjoy the photos!!
