Chapter 7

PERU

CUSCO

It was my seventh country within three months. It is really nice and incredible that my trip has been going well at all the time. My back does not hurt more or less. Or as I always say “whine at a high level” =)
Cusco was also a main point of my journey. The city was the historic capital of the Inca Empire from the 13th until the 16th-century Spanish conquest. In 2017 it had a population of 428,450 people (with surroundings). Located on the eastern end of the knot of Cuzco, its elevation is around 3,400 m!! The air was thin again =) but nothing new for me =)
Cusco is also the starting point for all tours and ways to Machu Picchu, also for me.

The night bus was, as always *hahahahaha*, very comfortable =) I discovered a Styria sticker at the border crossing =) I also met three German girls while driving but during looking for breakfast it was clear that we will not getting old =) I decided to move on alone again and it was a good decision!
During the breakfast i booked a hostel and made a short napp until three in the afternoon =) After that I booked for the next day a four day tour to Machu Picchu and a one day tour to the rainbow mountains – Vinicunca *jippppiiieeeee* (I want to make separate posts for the tours)
It was really really cheap, I saved over 50% compared to the internet offer!! There are not many tourists in the rainy season, but here I am =)
In Cusco there are only two seasons: the rainy season and the not rainy season =). But first of all, I had luck with the weather!!

I also went to a market. There was a fruit juice stand there. I selected three or four fruits and she mixed a drink for gods!!! I had a stomachache afterwards because I drank so many juices. 1€ for approximately four cups of horniness =)

In this post there are photos from cusco at the first day and also the days after my tours. Enjoy it (but look forward to the photos of Machu Picchu and rainbow mountain – Vinicunca. I love them)!!
