Chapter 4

Tierra Del Fuego – Fin del Mundo – Ushuaia

It is going on, i have a new laptop again. I made a good deal, a lot of money for little power =) but this is not the reason for this post!

My startpoint of the panamericana, the end of the world – fin del mundo!! Lisa and i flew on the 10th of November to Ushuaia. After the flight with a great sunset view we met our first memeber of our Patagonia family, Sarah. I need no more words about her because you will see Sarah and the whole family more often at the next posts!!

The first day:
We decided to visit the national park – correo del fin del mundo with view out of the Canal Beagle.
It was a wonderful day, sun was shining, no traffic, no crowds, only the nature, trees, coasts with many mussels (I saw them and become hungry =) but i didn´t try a fresh one), animals, Lisa and me. The view was varied and i always thought “ohhh my good i am at the end of the world” =) nice thought! We went near the cost, through the park with a lot of different kind of trees, over many small bridges and stones and over wonderfull grassland.
The only problem we had, we had not taken any food and drink with us. Not the best idea but we survived =) after approximately five hours we came to an small inn with beer and something to eat =)
After this strengthening we went down to “the official end of the world”. That was my start point of the panamericana. You will see it on the picture, the end of my route is close, just 17.848km =)
This point of the world is nice to come down and thinking about the life. With my three lucky charm in my hand, that i got from home, i thought about many things and enjoy the silence. I really missed the silence and nature.
The whole walk took about 7 hours, after the dinner (king crabs risotto and a bottle red wine ) i fell into my bed =)
What a wonderful day!!

At the next day we took a hike to the glacer. There is a ski center, but at the moment its closed because it is spring =) alltough it was a mix of snow and stone trail.
We learned from our mistakes, we had in our backpack beer and a short snack, jause, vesper =) and i say it every day, you can find friends with beer =) The first friendship was a dog, who had no owner (true story) after that we met Harry from United Kingdom (Wales =) =) ) after that Conrado from Cordoba who gave us mate tea. After that an Australia guy (my name memory is really bad) and last but not least our private professional photographer from Shanghai. He took photos from us we didn´t realize but we heard the clicks everytime =) he also told me the name “Austria” in mandarin – “autiti”. It was a great party on the top of the trail with 6 person and one dog.
Some friendships are still present and i promise you, you will see Harry again =) i believe he is stalking me =) =) joke, i miss you Harry, where are you?
The descent was also a highlight, i decadid to take a bobsledding without a bob =) and it worked really fine. I was a little bit afraid because it was going faster and faster.
The day was not over. we booked a ticket for a boat tour to the penguine island =) it was my first and i am thinking my last time that i saw penguines in the wild. It was a nice but also a frightening trip. The only reason for the people who did this trip was to get the perfect selfie for Insta or Facebook. I saw nearly nobody who enjoed the animals and the nature. I have to say that I took also some photos, so i am not better than the others.

The third and the last full day in Ushuaia.
We walked a trail up to the Laguna Esmaralda. What should i say, also beautiful =) On the way we met Kit from Australia. We went through swamps, past some beaver buildings, over stones and sticks up to the Laguna. We had there also a wonderfull view!
Back to the city we made a long sightseeing tour in Ushuai (about thirty minutes) =) followed by dinner.
A perfect finale of our days in Ushuaia.

A funny sidestoy =)
I saw in Austria a documantation about Ushuaia. You get there a stamp in your passport. I really wanted to have it. The bad thing was, you get the original stamp just in the national park. So it was to late for me because i asked for it at the third day.
But i had the best idea ever =) I went to the national park departure bus station. I met there (i saw them at the penguin trip) an Italian couple. i gave them my passport and after thet whole day i got my passport WHITH stamp back. =) i know it was a little bit crazy bbbuuuutttt i have the stamp in my passport. Thanks again for your help =) =) we will see us near gardersee =) and i will never forget this story =)

Finally, i would like to say, i love this place! It was wonderfull, impressive, and awesome. The people there are also nice and friendly. There is no crime and it is clean!! It is sad that this place is far waway from home because otherwise i will visit it again and again and again =)

Here are the pictures, enjoy!
