I left Boquete with a heavy heart. I made there so many new friendships, thanks for that and thanks everybody!!
The happiness stayed with me, it was the same like in Bocas del Toro, but before I arrived in Bocas del Toro I had a long way. With the bus back to David, than to Zegla and with the ferry to Bocas del Toro. The whole trip took about eight hours, but the effort has paid off.
When I arrived in Bocas, I inquired the island. First I had to check out a hostel and the evening program. At the first night I went out for a beer, of course =) It didn’t take long time before I met a nice German group in a park during my first beer and that was the beginning of a nice evening story =) and it’s getting better….. we went together to a nice bar and what did I see there? The austrian flag next to the panama flag. After about ten minutes I found out the reason, the waitress was from austria….. nice…… it was a long long and loooonnnnggg, funny, fluid night =)
At the next day, diving was on the agenda. I went with a “slight” hangover to the diving center. I met there the diving master and my diving group. The diving group was only a germany girl, an old, strange men from nowhere, the diving master and me. It was funny because I knew the germany girl, Renata, she was also in Boquete, at the volcano.
The dives were perfect! We did two dives, a “shipwreck-dive” and a “fish-sightseeing-dive”. We had also luck with the weather, perfect view!! We saw turtles, puffer fish, lionfish, devilfish and many different marine plants, awesome”
After the great two dives we came back to the island, ate a dive burger menue and one ore two after-dive-beer =) I can’t remember exactly how much beers =)
I also met Husein again. After a walk through the center of the island, we had a nice evening with two friends of Hussein. It was a funny but also a sad evening because we knew we had to part the next day.
It was a very, very nice, funny, but short time together, thanks for that. You became a good friend to me during this time. I hope to see you again soon, dear Hussein. Until then, stay healthy, we’ll stay in touch!!
Unfortunately, not the smartest people worked in my hostel. too much alcohol and drugs are also not beneficial. How do you say, the amount makes the poison. Anyway, the further planning was really difficult. I managed to get a ticket to the border of Costa Rica. The migration turned out also to be rather difficult. But I learned a few tricks on my journey =) but more about this “illegal entry to Costa Rica” is described in the next chapter =)
