LA PAZ / Bolivia

After ten hours in a night bus again *juhuuuuuu* we arrived in La Paz at 6 am. It was also a hard ride for me because i couldn´t sleep. My thoughts were always in the mine. There was a lot to process in my mind.

It was already very late until we were all done. We got out of the hostel at 14 pm, just to book the next tours (Death Road!!!), buy a new backpack because my old one was broken and to explore the city. I like the city, it´s beuatiful! The view, the cable cars, the people, it was the whole package i liked!!
Back in the hostel we thought about the finances, saved pictures and had some nice conversations. We found a wonderfull restaurant “Higher Ground”, the food was delicious and also the Australian owner!! The day past very quickly!

The next day:
It was really funny because at home there was the christmas stress and we did the Death Road, I like the thinking about it =)
The Death Road is a extreme downhill route. It starts at 4670m and ends at 1100m above sea level =) During the route there are no many safety conditions and sometimes the cliffs go down hundreds of meters, crazy. The route started at the “Yungas-street”, just some short instructions and after that we started our motors =) At this day the weather was very bad. At the beginning it worked but after one hour the rain started. suitable to the Death Road.
I liked the feel on the bike, similar to my biking tours in Austria, the only different was, it was no motorcycle =) but the feeling was the same. I was getting faster and more confident =) I was tooooo fast in a curve, I lost control of my bike and crashed. Some bruises and abrasions but I survived =)
After the adrenaline tour we drove with a van to an restaurant, ate something and drove back to our hostel. It was a hard day for us but we loved it very much!!
During the home trip we did a short nap, ate an other delicius meal at “our” Restaurant “Higher Ground” and fell into our beds. We also booked the “Special Christmas Dinner” for tomorrow, because tomorrow was CHRISTMAS =)

It was the 24. decembre, feliz navidad!!!! =) It was a strange feeling. The party of family and friends. and I am at the other end of the world. It was also my first Christmas “alone”. Thanks god I had Daniel and Johannes with me =) I have to admit, I rarely had so much homesickness.
I did some phone calls to my family and friends and at the afternoon we did a sight seeing tour with the cable cars. Nice view, you see it at the pictures. A big city surrounded by mountains!!

During our Christams dinner we met two nice people from Italy. We had a really nice evening, interseting and funny conversations. It was a different but a wonderful christmas day. Our christmas dinner ended in a bar at approximately two o clock =) Thanks for the nice hours, we will see us for sure!! =)

At the 25. decembre we wanted to do some charity work at a church (we found the charity event on internet at a hostel homepage). But it was a fake, just to get people in his hostel. Really sad!! So back to the hostel, but we wanted to do it!!
It was a relaxed day. It happend not many! It was also the last day with the two german guys, with my little Patagonia family. My next stop was Copacabana – Titicacasee, and the next stop of Johannes and Daniel was the jungle =)

I have said it now many times but I will say it one more time. Thanks for the wonderfull time we had each other, thanks for the nice christams. We really experienced a lot of different things and it was always a good time with you, thank you for that!! I love you Johannes and Daniel =) and I am sure, we will see us soon again!!

    Hola Chris,
